The main rivals of the new model are considered to be the BMW X6 and Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe. The production of the model will be organized at the plant in Leipzig, where the regular Cayenne is already assembled.
The car will get a different front bumper and a redesigned rear. According to rumors, in side profile the crossover will be similar to the second-generation Panamera. The engine lineup is expected to include a 2.6-liter gasoline V6 with 440 hp, as well as a 4.0-liter unit producing 550 hp.
The third-generation Porsche Cayenne was presented in September last year at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The model for the first time received a chassis with rear-wheel steering, which can turn in the opposite direction to the front wheels, improving stability at speed and making maneuvering easier.
