Judging by the photos, the car as a whole will retain the main stylistic features of its prototype, shown last year at the Concours d'Elegance in American Pebble Beach. When creating the prototype, designers drew inspiration from classic BMW roadsters, including the legendary racing car 328 Mille Miglia.

According to unofficial data, the top version of the Z4 will be equipped with a supercharged "six" producing 340 horsepower. In addition, the roadster will be available with a more powerful modification of the same engine, developing 390 horsepower.
The base engine of the revived BMW Z4 roadster will be a two-liter "turbo-four" producing 251 hp and 350 Nm of torque. The possibility of the appearance of a full-fledged most powerful and fastest M-modification of the model seems unlikely.

The premiere of the new generation BMW Z4 should take place before the end of this year.
