Pascal Ruch, who heads Lexus's European division, has lifted the veil of secrecy over the upcoming generation of the CT 200h hybrid hatchback. As the top manager reported, the new model will be based on a completely different platform, and its exterior will become noticeably bolder and more dynamic.
The car will be offered to customers in two versions: traditional hybrid and fully electric. In addition, engineers plan to equip the hybrid version with a new two-liter engine, which should significantly improve the model's speed characteristics.
The debut of the next-generation Lexus CT is expected to take place around 2020.
