The RS5 Sportback almost entirely replicates the design of the "two-door" on the outside, but at the same time features original wheels and cannot boast a carbon fiber roof.
Inside, the Sportback differs only in more spacious rear seating; no other stylistic changes are noticeable.
Like the coupe, the RS5 hatchback is equipped with a 450-horsepower turbo engine from the "Panamera" and all-wheel drive, but due to a heavier (by 110 kg) body, the "five-door" loses 0.2 seconds in acceleration to 100 km/h – 3.9 seconds versus 3.7. For an extra charge, the electronic "collar" of the maximum speed can be "loosened" from 250 to 280 km/h.
Sales of the Audi A5 Sportback on the American market start at the end of summer. Prices and timing for the model's appearance in Europe have not yet been announced.
