The appearance of the "third" Berlingo is made in accordance with the new corporate style of Citroen. The model not only acquired two-tier optics, but also borrowed branded Airbump side pads from crossovers.

The new Berlingo moved to the EMP2 platform, which made it possible to create an extended version with a seven-seat interior. The base version is now designated L1 and is 4.4 meters long with a wheelbase of 2.78 m. The second modification received the L2 index and stretched to 4.75 m, of which the wheelbase occupies 2.97 m.

The interior has been radically transformed and boasts an 8-inch multimedia system screen Citroen Connect Nav, supporting "smartphone" interfaces Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink. Wireless charging is also now provided for smartphones.

The driver has access to as many as 19 electronic assistants, including adaptive cruise control with full stop function, off-road and parking assistance systems, as well as road sign, marking and blind spot monitoring functions.

The engine lineup includes PureTech 1.2 petrol turbo engines in two tuning options: 110 or 130 hp. Also available are three 1.5-liter HDi diesels with power from 75 to 130 hp. As transmissions, a six-speed "mechanics" or an eight-speed "automatic" are offered.

The official premiere of the new Citroen Berlingo will take place at the Geneva Motor Show. Sales of the model will start in the second half of this year.
