The head of Audi's design department, Marc Lichte, has announced plans to produce such a car. The brand's chief stylist shows great interest in creating a luxurious two-door vehicle that should become a direct competitor to the upcoming BMW 8 Series.
As Lichte noted, the company will not rush the arrival of the flagship coupe: first, the new Q8 SUV will hit the market, followed by updated generations of the A1, A6, and Q3 models. Based on this, it can be assumed that Audi's lineup of two-door cars will not be expanded before 2019.
