Today in Los Angeles, the premiere of the open-top version of the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Convertible took place. In spring, the car will be available at dealers in the USA. Compared to the coupe, the roadster received only a fabric roof, and its weight increased by 27 kilograms.
Under the hood of the "charged" convertible, the same 766-horsepower V8 unit is installed as in the closed modification. It works either with a 7-speed manual gearbox or an 8-speed automatic. The extra weight did not affect acceleration dynamics: the hundred is reached in the same 3 seconds, and the top speed is 341 km/h.
The price of the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Convertible is set at 123 thousand dollars, which is 4 thousand more than the cost of the coupe.
