The Jaguar sedan, refined by specialists from the SVO division, raced around the famous German Nürburgring circuit with a time of 7 minutes 21.23 seconds. This achievement is almost 11 seconds faster than the previous record holder from Italy — the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, whose result was 7:32.
A key role in the success was played by the five-liter V8 engine producing 600 horsepower. With such an engine, the "charged" sedan accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, and its top speed reaches 322 km/h.
The Jaguar XE SV Project 8 will be produced in a limited edition — only 300 units, and each one will be assembled by hand. The starting price of the new model is 150 thousand pounds sterling, which is equivalent to approximately 200 thousand dollars.
