The design of the crossover is in line with the Kodo design language and does not differ much from other models of the brand.
In terms of dimensions (4900x1840x1730 mm), the CX-8 is slightly smaller than the CX-9, but the wheelbase of the crossovers is the same (2930 mm).
The seven-seat interior also has a minimum of originality. In expensive versions, the interior can boast leather seats and real wood trim.
Under the hood of the crossover is the only diesel engine Skyactiv-D 2.2, with a power of 190 hp and a torque of 450 Nm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The model can be ordered with both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.
For the first time, the Mazda CX-8 will be offered only on the domestic market; the crossover's release outside Japan is still in question.
