Volkswagen presented a hybrid modification of the Fideon model at the Shanghai Motor Show, which received the GTE suffix.
The Fideon sedan, which is not sold in Europe, has received a hybrid powertrain. It includes a two-liter turbocharged TFSI engine and an electric motor, together producing 245 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque.
In the combined cycle, the hybrid Fideon consumes an average of 2.3 liters of fuel. On electric power alone, this flagship sedan can cover up to 50 kilometers.
On the outside, the Fideon GTE differs from standard modifications only by a slightly revised bumper.
