As British journalists report, the XE SVR version is likely to receive a 550-horsepower V8 unit, familiar from the F-Type sports car. Combined with all-wheel drive, such a car will be able to reach the first hundred in four seconds.
Today, the most powerful S modification of the XE model develops "only" 340 horsepower, and acceleration to 100 km/h takes it 5.1 seconds.
It is still premature to talk about a possible premiere date for the new sports sedan — the final decision on this project has not yet been made.
