The Q8 show car is equipped with a hybrid powertrain that combines a three-liter turbo engine and an electric motor, with a total output of 449 hp and a torque of 770 Nm.
Acceleration to 100 km/h takes the concept 5.4 seconds. At the same time, the claimed average fuel consumption is only 2.3 l/100 km. In addition, the hybrid crossover is capable of traveling 60 km exclusively on electric power.
The interior of the show car does not look overly conceptual and is quite close to the production version.
Audi will position the Q8 as a more prestigious version of the Q7 crossover, and the main competitor, quite expectedly, will be the BMW X6. The Q8 will not appear on the assembly line before 2018.
