The concept is made in a retro style and its design hints at the legendary Microbus minivan. The show car's dimensions are quite impressive – almost 5 meters in length and about 2 meters in width and height.
All the electric components are packed under a completely flat cabin floor, and the seats inside can be transformed almost any way you like. Even the driver's seat can be turned to face backward, as the concept minivan is capable of moving in fully autonomous mode.
Each axle of the I.D. Buzz is equipped with a separate electric motor, which together produce 374 hp and can accelerate the show car to 100 km/h in just 5 seconds. However, the top speed is limited to 160 km/h.
The battery capacity is 111 kWh. The minivan's range is quite decent – 435 km. With a special device, the batteries can be recharged to 80% in just 30 minutes.
By 2025, a whole line of various production electric cars will be built on the I.D. Buzz concept platform.
