The design of the "American" Camry has become much more aggressive and is now executed in the signature Keen Look style. The model is based on the new modular TNGA platform. The sedan has been made slightly longer (+9 mm) and wider (+19 mm), but at the same time lowered by 30 mm. The wheelbase has increased by almost 5 cm.
The interior has also been noticeably transformed. The equipment list now includes an upgraded Toyota Entune 3.0 multimedia system with an 8-inch display and a full set of Toyota Safety Sense-P safety systems, which include features such as active cruise control with automatic braking, lane keeping, blind spot monitoring, and adaptive high beam headlights.
The engine lineup includes gasoline engines with a displacement of 2.5 and 3.5 liters. A hybrid version of the sedan will also be available. The Japanese have not yet disclosed detailed technical specifications.
The new Camry will appear in American showrooms in the summer. Prices for the model are not yet known.
