Ford CEO Mark Fields shared plans regarding the future model lineup. He announced that by 2021 the corporation intends to release 13 vehicles with green powertrains, and the total investment in this project will amount to 4.5 billion dollars.
First of all, hybrid modifications will be introduced for such well-known models as the iconic Mustang and the popular F-150 pickup truck. Also, an eco-friendly version will appear for the commercial Transit van and for police cars based on the Taurus and Explorer.
Later, Ford plans to develop several fully electric models so that the Focus Electric electric car does not remain the only representative of this type in the brand's lineup.
