The seven-seat Atlas turned out to be the largest SUV model in the Volkswagen lineup. The length of the Atlas exceeds five meters, and the crossover is based on the modular MQB platform, which also underpins the new Tiguan.

The Atlas will be available with both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. Only gasoline engines are offered – a two-liter turbo engine with 238 hp and a 280-horsepower VR6 with a displacement of 3.6 liters.
For now, the crossover will be available only in the USA, but at the end of next year, the Volkswagen Atlas may also reach the European continent.
