The first production SUV with hydrogen fuel cells will debut next year, and sales of the new model are planned to start a year later.
The hydrogen model is based on the platform of the production version of the GLC crossover. According to the German company, the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle can travel 500 km without refueling.

Fuel cells, which convert hydrogen into electricity and steam, allow achieving the same dynamics as models with a conventional engine.
Unlike electric vehicles, a hydrogen car can be refueled much faster - only 3 minutes are enough for a full charge.

Most likely, the first Mercedes-Benz hydrogen crossover will go on sale under a new sub-brand, which Mercedes-Benz will create for environmentally friendly and innovative models.
