Like its predecessor, the new model retains an optional third row of seats, facing rearward and intended for children. If necessary, they can be folded into the floor.

In travel configuration, the new Mercedes estate holds 670 liters in the trunk – slightly less than the previous generation, but almost 100 liters more than rival Audi and BMW. If the rear row is folded down, the volume increases to 1820 liters (120 liters more than before).

The tailgate has received an electric drive and a sensor opening function – just swipe your foot under the bumper. Almost everything has adjustments – from the backrests of all seats to electrically operated blinds.

By default, the 2017 E-Class Estate is equipped with air suspension with automatic height adjustment. The estate will be available with three diesel engines ranging from 150 to 258 horsepower and three petrol engines ranging from 185 to 333 horsepower. Later, a tuned version E 43 4Matic will appear with a 401-horsepower engine, providing acceleration to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds.
