The official debut of the new model will take place in a few days at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Sales of the crossover are scheduled to start in the first half of 2016.
As seen in the photos, the 7-seat SUV has received exterior styling in the style of the new CX-5 and CX-3. According to preliminary data, the model will get a 2.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine. The engine's power will be about 300 hp. The same engine will also be used in the new hot hatch Mazda3 MPS.
According to unofficial information, with the new engine, the Mazda CX-9 2016 will become 25-30% more economical than its predecessor, which has a naturally aspirated 3.7-liter gasoline engine.
