The latter is the first coupe-SUV in the Mercedes lineup. The prices of the new models have already been announced, and they are available for Ukrainian buyers. The prices start from 1,121,340 UAH for the GLC, from 1,233,428 UAH for the GLE, and from 1,610,948 UAH for the GLE Coupe.
In the near future, AvtoKapital, the official importer of Mercedes-Benz cars in Ukraine, promises to provide us with these cars for a full test drive. For now, we are content with official information.
Mercedes-Benz GLC
Mercedes-Benz GLC is the successor to the GLK. The new car has grown, but at the same time has become lighter (the wheelbase has increased by 118 mm, the weight has been reduced by 80 kg). In terms of design, the car is similar to the C-Class.
The car resembles the "C-class" not only on the outside, but also in the interior design. The luggage compartment volume with the rear seats folded down is 1600 liters.
The car will go on sale in Ukraine in three modifications: diesel GLC 220 BlueTEC 4MATIC, GLC 250 BlueTEC 4MATIC, and petrol GLC 250 4MATIC.
Mercedes-Benz GLE
From its predecessor (GLK), the Mercedes-Benz GLE differs in a changed design, although formally it is just a facelift. The new LED headlights and rear lights, a different radiator grille, and the shape of the bumpers catch the eye.
Inside, the updated steering wheel and modified front panel are noticeable.
We offer diesel modifications GLE 250 BlueTEC 4MATIC and GLE 350 BlueTEC 4MATIC, and petrol GLE 400 4MATIC and GLE 500 4MATIC. For those who like to spice things up and are not limited by budget, there is a "charged" modification GLE 63 AMG 4MATIC.
Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe
In Stuttgart, they worked for quite a long time on a competitor for the BMW coupe-crossover. And now it has happened. The Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe has gone on sale.
The car was built on the basis of the GLE SUV, but has a more elongated profile, a large radiator grille, and powerful wheel arches. Externally, the car repeats the appearance of the Concept Coupe SUV prototype. It was shown to the public back in the spring of this year.
The GLE Coupe can be equipped with 22-inch wheels for an additional cost. In the base, the GLE 350 d and GLE 400 have 20-inch wheels, while the GLE 450 AMG has 21-inch wheels.
Inside, the coupe is almost no different from its platform sibling. Except that the steering wheel has a more sporty three-spoke shape.
In Ukraine, a version with a diesel engine is available – GLE 350 d 4MATIC Coupe, and four petrol ones. With any engine, the GLE Coupe is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission 9G-Tronic and a permanent all-wheel drive system.
In the base, the car has a conventional spring suspension, but for an additional cost you can get Airmatic air suspension with the ADS Plus system.
As is customary at Mercedes, sporty versions of the coupe have also been prepared: GLE 450 AMG, Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 4MATIC Coupe, and Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S 4MATIC Coupe.
The last two are especially interesting for fans of powerful cars. The GLE 63 Coupe has a 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 and develops 557 hp. The torque is simply crazy – 700 Nm. True, on the version with the letter S, the engine produces even more power and torque – 585 hp and 760 Nm, respectively. Acceleration to 100 km/h is correspondingly 4.2 seconds.
