Let's note right away that the new model has little in common with the Grand Vitara, except for the similar front-end styling. The Vitara is based on the well-known in our country last-generation SX4 model.

The presentation of the new crossover took place at a country horse farm, near Kyiv. There, local journalists were able to try the new model on our roads for the first time, as well as test the Vitara off-road. Let us remind you that Autoportal conducted a test of the new Suzuki Vitara 2015 back in winter, in Portugal:

Soon we will conduct a full test drive of the Vitara in Ukraine, so we will not repeat what was said in the video review. Let's focus in more detail on prices and trim levels for the Ukrainian market.

The starting price of the Vitara is UAH 388,000. The trunk volume is 375 liters.

Ground clearance is 185 mm. Already in the base there are 7 airbags, ESP and ABS. The car is available with a manual or automatic transmission. Let us emphasize that we are not talking about a CVT or robotic gearbox, which are popular among crossovers in this price category. The Vitara has a traditional "automatic" produced by the Japanese company Aisin. It is offered with both mono- and all-wheel drive. As for this segment of cars, this is a rarity. Just like an atmospheric engine combined with 4WD.

The Vitara is equipped with a 117-horsepower gasoline engine with a volume of 1.6 liters. In Europe there is also a diesel unit, but its appearance in Ukraine is not yet to be discussed. However, the gasoline engine even with an automatic transmission is quite economical – 7-8 liters in the city and 5.3-6 liters on the highway (depending on the gearbox and type of drive)

One of the features of the Vitara is the ability to customize the exterior and interior. In particular, a two-tone body color is offered. You can also make the interior more elegant. As for the trim levels, you can learn more in our catalog of new cars.
