The car is planned to be built on the basis of the Maserati Alfieri, and equipped with a six-cylinder turbo engine with a displacement of 3.0 liters. To make sure no one doubts that this is truly a supercar, the engine will be boosted to 520 hp. According to the development concept, the car will have a front-engine layout and rear-wheel drive.
The exact release date is not yet known, but it is expected to be 2017.
The reason for such a move by the Fiat company is clear. Recently, they announced plans to make significant investments in the development of the Alfa Romeo brand. The amount of investment is impressive – five billion euros. The money will be spent on development and expansion of the brand's model lineup.
