Of course not. First of all, because the car was produced by the Togliatti enterprise "Avtoprodukt". In addition, the Kalina Cross is as "off-road capable" as the Geely MK Cross. To put it bluntly, it's an ordinary hatchback with increased ground clearance and added plastic body protection.

However, the head of "Avtoprodukt", Alexander Baburin, insists that it's not just about external modifications: "The main difference is the modified front and rear suspensions. The front is made with a subframe and vertically positioned control arm axes, the rear is independent. McPherson is used here, which in the future will allow the car to be equipped with all-wheel drive. There is also an alternative option with triangular arms," explained the company's director.

As for all-wheel drive, its installation on the "Cross Kalina" is only planned for now. Moreover, it is still unknown when the Lada Kalina Cross will go on sale, and whether it will appear at all.
