Recently, spy photographers managed to capture a camouflaged prototype of the new generation SEAT Leon during road tests.
Due to the dense camouflage film, it is difficult to assess the changes in the model's appearance. Nevertheless, the images reveal the contours of the rear LED lights and headlights, as well as two exhaust pipes exiting on the left side of the rear bumper.

The new SEAT Leon will be built on the MQB modular architecture, which will also serve as the basis for future Audi A3 and Volkswagen Golf VII. According to unconfirmed information, the Spanish model will also borrow the engine lineup from the latter. It is expected that the engine range will include TFSI petrol units with displacements of 1.4 and 2.0 liters, as well as several turbodiesels of 1.6 and 2.0 liters. In addition, the possibility of a hybrid version is not ruled out, combining an electric motor with 47 hp and a 1.4-liter petrol engine producing just over 100 hp.
Earlier, SEAT representatives announced the showing of a concept model at the Frankfurt Motor Show. According to unofficial data, this concept will be the pre-production version of the new Leon.
