The new unit will be installed exclusively on front-wheel drive versions, as well as those with a manual gearbox or DSG. As Skoda's Russian office representative Timur Aliev said, the final decision on including this engine in the model range has not yet been made, so its appearance in cars for the domestic market remains in question.

Currently, the range of petrol power units for the Skoda Yeti crossover includes only two turbo engines — 1.2 and 1.8 liters, producing 105 and 152 horsepower respectively. The first of these is combined exclusively with front-wheel drive and a manual transmission, although a seven-speed DSG "robot" with two clutches is also available as an option. The most powerful version of the Yeti is equipped with all-wheel drive and a manual gearbox.
