Vice Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov noted that launching car customs clearance through the Diia app could become a clear example of how customs work changes in the absence of human influence. He expressed hope for the rapid adoption of the bill in the second reading and support from deputies.

The implementation of this service will be handled by the Ministry of Digital Transformation together with the Ministry of Finance and the State Customs Service, with USAID facilitating the process.

The department reported that after the adoption of the law, a register of customs values will be formed based on customs data. It will include information about new passenger cars imported into the country since 2007, including make, model, engine type, engine displacement, and year of manufacture. This will make it possible to eliminate the influence of the human factor and determine the fair amount of payments automatically.
