The government in the Verkhovna Rada presented new rules that should speed up the procedure for establishing the guilt of drivers who drove a vehicle while intoxicated. This is reported by government representative Taras Melnychuk.
According to the new requirements, patrol police officers are obliged to record the process of examining the driver on a video camera directly at the stop location. The recording must subsequently be attached to the administrative protocol. In cases where video recording is impossible, the examination procedure is carried out in the presence of two witnesses.
Drivers will be checked for sobriety only with video recording
The Cabinet of Ministers has changed the process of checking drivers for alcohol intoxication or being under the influence of drugs.
