Thanks to the coordinated actions of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Migration Service of Ukraine, namely the state enterprise "Document", the issue of exchanging Ukrainian driver's licenses in Warsaw has been resolved.
"As of September 22, we can state that the system that ensures the full provision of the driver's license exchange service has been successfully connected. The first clients have already taken advantage of this opportunity and were satisfied. It is pleasant that the finished document can be obtained on the day of application," said the head of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Prior to this, the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs transferred special printers for printing on driver's license forms, as well as sets of forms themselves, to the SE "Document". After that, information exchange between units was established, allowing for prompt processing of applications from Warsaw in Kyiv.
"Poland is the first country where the migration service has its representation through the SE 'Document'. Initially, we worked there with eight mobile buses, and now we have moved to a stationary center where citizens can receive services comfortably," noted the head of the State Migration Service of Ukraine.
Exchange of a national driver's license is possible in the following situations:
- when the document becomes unusable (damaged, records unreadable, etc.);
- upon change of the owner's personal data (surname, name, patronymic, gender);
- at one's own request (for example, to obtain a more modern form, clarify data in Latin letters, replace photo);
- after the expiration of the validity period.
