In particular, if previously the TruCam speed control radar had to be installed exclusively on a tripod and used only in special zones, now police officers can hold it in their hands.

In addition, before this, law enforcement officers could record violations only with special automatic equipment, but the new law allows them to use any equipment – without any requirements for information protection.

Another innovation – from now on, checking a driver for intoxication can be done without witnesses, but provided that the cops have their body cameras turned on. A copy of the recording must be attached to the protocol.

Finally, the deputies also addressed the driver's behavior during a stop. In particular, the bill obliges motorists to show their license in such a way that the police officer can record the data; in addition, the driver cannot leave the car without the permission of the law enforcement officer, and must keep their hands in view.
