The document "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Regarding Liability for Administrative Offenses in the Field of Road Safety, Recorded Automatically" states the following:
"Article 121-1.. Operation by drivers of vehicles whose identification numbers of components do not correspond to the data in registration documents, are damaged, forged, or missing, - is punishable by a fine of fifteen to twenty tax-free minimum incomes of citizens (255 - 340 UAH). If within a year the driver again commits any of the violations listed in the first part of this article, - the fine increases to forty to fifty tax-free minimum incomes of citizens (680 - 850 UAH).".

According to experts, there are currently about one hundred thousand cars in the country that may fall under this norm.
However, owners of already registered VAZs, Moskvichs, and used foreign cars, apparently, should not panic yet — formally, the law has no retroactive effect.
In addition, opposition deputies have already registered a draft law proposing to cancel the adopted document No. 3855.
As previously reported, the Verkhovna Rada recently approved a law introducing liability for traffic violations recorded by automatic cameras.
