Sales of the new model are scheduled to start in the first half of 2016. The car is designed with the European market in mind. It is known that the new Baleno will also be sold in Ukraine. There is no information on pricing yet, but Suzuki promises a very affordable price tag.

At launch, only petrol engines will be available: a 1.2-liter with 90 horsepower and a 111-horsepower turbocharged 1.0-liter unit. The engines can be paired with a five-speed manual or a CVT. However, the 111-horsepower version is available with a six-speed automatic.

As an option for the Suzuki Baleno, a multimedia system with a seven-inch touchscreen and Apple CarPlay functionality will be offered. The Japanese promise to reveal more details about the budget hatchback closer to the start of sales.
