50 female automotive journalists from 38 countries voted for the best women's car of the year. The competition was founded in 2009 by New Zealand journalist Sandy Myhre.

This year, its holding was complicated by the coronavirus epidemic – it was not so easy to organize test drives of the contenders. Nevertheless, the top nine were still determined:

By the way, the competition will not end there – from the nine nominees, the best will be chosen, which will become the women's car of 2021. The winner will be announced on March 8 – International Women's Day.
