A pensioner bought a brand new sports car from an official GM dealer, writes GMAutohority. The dealership staff were so surprised by their client (not so much by Chuck himself, but by his age) that they even threw a party with balloons and a buffet, where the main treat was a cake with an image of Corvette C8.
Chuck Cook lives in Leesburg, Florida. As the pensioner told journalists, this is already the fourth Chevrolet Corvette in his garage. Moreover, throughout his life, the grandfather buys cars exclusively manufactured by General Motors. The veteran's everyday car is a Chevrolet Equinox crossover.
“I can't wait for the pandemic [COVID-19 – ed.] to end, because after it I will be able to drive my new Corvette to exhibitions,” Chuck Cook commented on the purchase.
It is worth noting that the Chevrolet Corvette C8 went into production almost a year ago – in January 2020. The car is equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 producing 520 hp and an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic. The sports car accelerates to 100 km/h in 3 seconds, with a top speed of 300 km/h.
