It is reported that the new Land Cruiser 300 will be built on the TNGA platform, familiar from the Camry, but the frame construction will remain. The dimensions of the SUV will increase: length will be 4970 mm, width — 1985 mm, height — 1870 mm, and the wheelbase will reach 2970 mm.
In the interior, one should expect a digital instrument panel and a larger multimedia display, as well as an expanded set of active safety systems. Depending on the version, the cabin will accommodate from 5 to 8 people.
Under the hood of the Toyota Land Cruiser 2021, there will be no V8 engines. Instead, they will offer a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged gasoline V6 producing 420 hp (like the Lexus LS), and a new 3.3-liter turbodiesel, the exact parameters of which are still kept secret. In addition, a hybrid modification is planned, combining a 3.5-liter gasoline V6 with 299 hp and an electric motor with 180 hp.
