The technical center called Toyota Shimoyama is located in the city of Toyota in Aichi Prefecture on the island of Honshu. The complex, covering an area of more than 650 hectares, contains facilities for research and development activities, high-speed tracks, as well as a circuit that simulates a country road.
The latter, in its layout, resembles the famous "Nordschleife" of the Nürburgring. The length of the track is 5.3 km, and the elevation difference is 75 meters. A large number of bends and turns of various types will allow engineers to more thoroughly tune each of the future models.
