The most expensive parking space in the world is located in the elite district of Hong Kong, Kowloon, next to the prestigious residential complex Ultima. As local realtor Sandia Lau explained, for residents of this area such a price is not a problem, since the average cost of apartments here reaches approximately 12.7 million US dollars.

This deal broke the previous record for the cost of a parking space, which was also set in Hong Kong. In May 2017, a plot of 17.5 square meters was paid 5.18 million Hong Kong dollars, equivalent to 664.3 thousand US dollars.

The new owner of the most expensive parking space was businessman Kwan Wai Ming, who holds the post of executive director of Huarong Investment Stock Corporation. Over the past three years, the 58-year-old entrepreneur has bought two apartments and three parking spaces in Hong Kong, spending a total of 88.5 million Hong Kong dollars (11.3 million US dollars) on them.
