The auction took place in the American city of Naples, Florida, as part of the traditional "Winter Wine Festival." All proceeds will go to a charitable foundation.
The Phantom put up for sale was painted purple, and the interior was trimmed with snow-white leather and decorated with a plaque confirming the first serial number of the unit.

The owner of the exclusive Phantom turned out to be John Mason from Ohio, who got the car for 780 thousand dollars. As a bonus, John also received a six-liter bottle of California wine from Alpha Omega.
