Lexus sees good prospects in the Indian market, so a decision has been made to open dealerships in eight of the country's largest cities.
Initially, the showrooms will feature hybrid versions of the RX crossover and ES sedan, as well as a diesel version of the LX SUV. Next year, the flagship LS 500h (pictured) will be added to this list, which will also receive a hybrid powertrain.
As British media report, the company does not rule out organizing local assembly of cars for the domestic market at a plant in Bangalore in the future.
