The Spanish newcomer has reached the Ukrainian market in four trim levels. The starting price of the model is UAH 176,204. For this money, the buyer gets a version with a 1.2-liter petrol engine producing 86 horsepower and paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. Already in the base Entry trim, six airbags, ESP stability control, and electrically adjustable mirrors (without heating) are provided, but air conditioning and an audio system are absent. The wheels are steel, and power windows are only on the front doors. In autumn, the three-door SC version is expected, and in early 2014, the five-door ST station wagon.
In the top FR trim, the car has a rich list of equipment and is powered by a 1.8 TFSI petrol engine with 189 hp. This engine can be paired either with a six-speed manual gearbox (price - UAH 261,185) or with a seven-speed DSG robot with two clutches (UAH 274,218).
During the presentation, company representatives said that the first buyers are promised pleasant additions in the form of an extended options package at a reduced price.
It is worth admitting that the base version looks quite modest in terms of equipment, while the top one will cost the buyer a considerable amount. Nevertheless, Porsche Ukraine, the official SEAT representative in our country, stated that after getting acquainted with the new Leon in action, everyone will be able to see the model's competitiveness. This especially applies to the top trim, which, according to management, offers significantly more features than direct competitors. AvtoPortal will be able to verify this claim in the near future when the Leon comes to us for a test drive.
Among the distinctive features of the new Leon, it is worth highlighting LED optics, though not available for all modifications. But the model has lost one of the predecessor's signature features - the hidden rear door handles.
