Yes, a truck with a container from the Taiwanese company Evergreen was involved in an accident and blocked three lanes of traffic, resulting in a multi-kilometer traffic jam on a busy road. The incident occurred early in the morning on March 27 on a highway in Nanjing; photos (screenshots from surveillance cameras) of the incident were distributed by the Chinese social network Weibo.

The situation is aggravated by the fact that Evergreen is the company that owns the ill-fated tanker Ever Given. Naturally, such a coincidence attracted even more attention to the news: some believe that both cases are connected and are generally a conspiracy.

By the way, about the incident in the Suez Canal itself: the 450-meter container ship Ever Given ran aground, completely blocking traffic through the canal. The vessel was freed from the trap only on March 29 (with the help of tugboats), but traffic is still disrupted due to the resulting congestion (over 300 ships were waiting to pass through the strait). Each day of such "downtime" cost the global economy $9 billion.
