This incident took place in the UK (where, as is known, traffic moves on the left side of the road). Fortunately, everything turned out fine, but such luck does not befall everyone.
The video shows how the driver of a Peugeot Partner, about to pull away, did not make sure that his lane was clear on both sides. And in vain — at that very moment, a Ford Transit truck was overtaking him. It seemed that a head-on collision between the minivan and the "cab-over" was inevitable, but the Ford driver showed incredible reaction: he managed to turn the steering wheel and drive around the Peugeot on the shoulder, performing a virtuoso maneuver. At the moment when the vehicles passed each other, there was a gap of only a few centimeters between them.
However, although it was the Ford driver's actions that avoided an accident, he was also the one who caused the dangerous situation: according to traffic rules, overtaking at intersections is strictly prohibited.
