The press center of the Command of the Signal and Cyber Security Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on the transfer of new equipment. They explained that these vehicles arrived as part of the further implementation of the state order for equipping units with communication means.
The published photo shows a column of 14 Renault Trucks trucks that underwent additional preparation for the needs of signalmen. The department did not disclose details, but from the image it can be determined that these are all-wheel-drive Renault Trucks D12 (4x4) chassis. Such vehicles are equipped with a 270 hp turbodiesel, feature increased ground clearance, and are fitted with off-road tires with deep tread, ensuring confident movement over rough terrain. Additionally, the vehicles are equipped with special van bodies with equipment.
It is assumed that the new equipment will replace outdated radio stations based on ZIL-131 and GAZ-66, which have been in service since Soviet times.
