In the top three, everything is predictable: Toyota maintains its leadership, while Volkswagen, thanks to its expanded model lineup, has risen to second place. Third place remains with Renault, although the company lost 14% compared to the previous month.

The main surprise of May was Mazda — the brand jumped from 22nd position straight to 8th, increasing sales by 305%. The CX-5 model again made it to the list of most sought-after cars, and this is despite the fact that it is no longer a new model. Honda is not far behind: +122% and a return to the top ten leaders.

Notable changes are also occurring in the premium segment. If previously BMW, Audi, and Mercedes-Benz seemed unattainable, now Lexus is actively fighting with Mercedes for third place in this class. Moreover, another competitor is appearing on the horizon that could significantly reshuffle the balance of power. The market is changing right before our eyes, and this process can hardly be called anything other than a rethinking.

Among the models of May, the undisputed leader is the Renault Duster. It is followed by the Toyota RAV4 and Land Cruiser Prado. However, the most interesting thing is the presence of electric vehicles in the top ten: the Honda e:N Series and Volkswagen ID.UNYX crossovers made it there. Electric cars are gradually but confidently displacing traditional gasoline models.

In total, in May, 6,859 new passenger cars were sold in Ukraine, which indicates positive market dynamics.
