In January, only a few thousand used cars from abroad were transferred to Ukrainian plates — this is 64% less than in the same period last year. These data were published by the Ukrautoprom association.

Despite the decline, the number of imported used cars almost quadrupled the sales of new cars on the domestic market. The leader among used models was Renault Megane — in January, 926 drivers registered this model. The second place was taken by Volkswagen Golf with 765 cars, and the third by Skoda Octavia, which was chosen by 620 owners.

The top five most popular also included Volkswagen Passat (509 cars) and Ford Focus (314 cars). The average age of cars that changed registration last month was 11 years. The oldest among them was an Audi 80 from 1993.
