An interesting video appeared on the Braden Carlson YouTube channel, featuring a Tesla Model S electric car. This liftback, produced in 2015, spent a significant part of its life as an Uber taxi, and its odometer already shows almost 700 thousand kilometers. The current owner of the car decided to share a detailed story about the condition of the six-year-old electric vehicle.

During its entire life, the Model S had only two owners. The first bought it brand new and used it exclusively for taxi work. Over several years, the Tesla accumulated an average of 113 thousand kilometers annually.

When the car passed to the current owner, it was still in pristine condition. The first visit to the service center was needed only after the mileage exceeded 402 thousand kilometers — then one of the power unit components was replaced. This procedure was free of charge, as Tesla provides an unlimited warranty on its factory batteries, not limited by mileage.

Later, when the counter showed 539 thousand kilometers, the multimedia system control unit had to be repaired. At 603,500 kilometers, problems arose with the rear suspension, which also had to be fixed.

The last operation was the replacement of the front electric motor — its resource ended at 612 thousand kilometers. Notably, the rear motor still works in its factory configuration. Currently, the electric car's odometer has stopped at 682,360 kilometers.

It is worth adding that in various reliability ratings, California electric vehicles traditionally occupy the last positions. For example, in the November annual top from Consumer Reports, Tesla ended up in second-to-last place, as it did a year earlier. According to experts, only Lincoln turned out to be less reliable.
