The new designations will reflect the peak torque of the engine, expressed in the metric system and rounded to the nearest number divisible by 50. At the same time, the new badges will not affect V-series vehicles.
As Cadillac President Steve Carlisle noted, the updated labeling is designed to give buyers a more accurate idea of power, dynamics, and the vehicle's towing capability.
In addition, universal indices are suitable for gasoline, hybrid, and electric versions, while horsepower figures or engine displacement do not provide the full picture.
