According to SAAM estimates, in 2018 the volume of sales in the Chinese automotive market will increase by about 3% compared to the previous year, when 24.7 million cars were sold.

Experts attribute the leveling of demand to the increase in the tax on the purchase of new cars with engines up to 1.6 liters to 10%. Also, the dynamics of sales may be negatively affected by the policy of municipalities of large Chinese cities, which restrict the registration of new vehicles to combat air pollution and traffic congestion.
