Before you is Stas Karabash — a specialist in selecting used cars, feared by resellers and dishonest sellers. His main job is inspecting and selecting used cars. Stas himself claims that in fifteen minutes he can restore the full history of any car.

Autoportal decided to test this in practice and gave Stas a Nissan X-Trail from 2011 for inspection, which had its own secret — the car had received a hit to the front. The task was to find out whether the expert would detect this feature. See the results of the experiment below:
Off camera, Stas said that the front of the car was seriously damaged. However, he did not tell the owner about it, because he was not sure who was at fault in the accident — the owner himself or the previous owner, from whom the car was bought after the accident. When we revealed all the details of the experiment, Stas explained in detail to the owner which body elements were restored flawlessly and where the craftsmen made mistakes. But that is a topic for a separate conversation, as is the history of the Nissan model itself, to which we will devote our own material.

Conclusions
Stas Karabash confirmed his professionalism by checking the Nissan after the accident. However, it is worth being objective: he did not immediately recognize the replaced hood and left fender. The reason — the parts were installed new and painted in the same paint shop, as the car owner also reported. On the other hand, Stas is not a magician, and he had only 15 minutes for the inspection — without a lift, diagnostic equipment, and special tools. These are exactly the conditions we set.
