Volkswagen Phaeton is the first full-size luxury sedan from Volkswagen, debuting in 2002. The car's name comes from the son of the sun god Helios. The new chassis on which the Phaeton was built was later used to create the luxurious Bentley Continental GT coupe. The model was produced in both standard and long-wheelbase versions, with an additional 12 centimeters. In 2010, the car underwent a significant update.
