Volkswagen Crafter: prices and specifications

Volkswagen Crafter replaced the LT model. The name is based on the English word "craft," which means "trade" and indicates the vehicle's purpose.

The minibus has been produced since 2006. It is available in weight categories of 3.0, 3.5, and 5.0 tons, as well as with three wheelbase options: 3250, 3665, and 4325 mm. Depending on the configuration, a standard or high roof can be installed. The passenger version can accommodate up to twenty people. The interior offers many transformation options. In terms of equipment, the Crafter is not inferior to passenger cars: the list includes ESP, ABS, ASR (traction control), EDL (electronic differential lock), and airbags.

In spring 2011, the model was updated. The main changes occurred under the hood: instead of the 2.5-liter turbodiesel, a 2.0 L TDI engine with three power options began to be installed — 109 hp (80 kW), 136 hp (100 kW), and BiTDI with 163 hp (120 kW).

In spring 2012, the all-wheel drive version Crafter 4Motion appeared.

For Ukraine, the vehicle is offered with a 2.0-liter engine of varying power. The gearbox is a 6-speed manual. The drive is rear-wheel.
